Samuel dabbled in organometallic chemistry research during high school at Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore, focusing on the synthesis of biologically active metal carbonyl complexes. He is recipient of National Award, Lee Kuan Yew for Mathematics and Science and International Chemistry Olympiad Award. In Nov. 2024, he joined the Park Group at NUS as a visiting student, eager to explore other areas of chemistry. He looks forward to applying his knowledge of organic synthesis to conduct surface modification of semiconductor materials, tuning their physical and electronic properties.
