Dr. Du Hyeon Ryu
Du Hyeon received his PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Korea University (KU) in 2026, in a joint program with the Photoenergy Research Center at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), under the supervision of Prof. Sang Hyuk Im and Dr. Chang Eun Song. His doctoral research encompassed both perovskite and organic photovoltaic systems, with a particular focus on tin based narrow bandgap perovskites, including additive and interface engineering, crystallization control, and mechanistic studies of Sn oxidation processes. At KRICT, he contributed to multidisciplinary projects on organic solar cells and large area device fabrication, integrating advanced spectroscopic techniques and device physics to improve efficiency and stability. He is interested in the fundamental chemistry and physics of narrow-bandgap perovskite materials, with particular emphasis on structure–property relationships, interfacial phenomena, and mechanisms for long-term stability.
